Job Description Summary

Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements to processes, security systems or security products to enhance the performance of the security access control system, physical security equipment projects and system installations for assigned areas. Acts as the security access control expert with multiple business lines and business functions to include IT, Corporate Real Estate, and Corporate Security.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage and key point of contact for overall daily coordination and distribution of access control cards and the visitor management system in support of increased card inventory associated with multi-factor authentication requirements and to ensure proper oversight.

  • Ensures protection of Data Center and critical infrastructure by maintaining day-to-day operational support of localized and enterprise system for access control and intrusion detection, to include custom programming based on system alert notifications, access control, servers, panels, readers and locking devices.

  • Triage and Troubleshoot complex access control issues including software issues, Alarm Events and Remote Resolution via Field Technician Workforce, coordinates repairs with vendors as needed.

  • Leverage onsite knowledge of the banks access control system, recommend enhancements and process improvements to improve reliability, performance, and overall security posture

  • Enhance the reporting from the system for Physical Security management and support to other business units required to meet audit and regulatory requirements

  • Conduct reviews and assessments of access card accounts and system reviews to ensure concise documentation and reporting to meet audit and regulatory requirements

  • Coordination an provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research to enable continuing innovation within the access control infrastructure.

  • Conducts Training and Certification of Access Control System Operators

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • May have a broad knowledge of project management

  • Requires 7 years minimum prior experience in security in banking/finance, preferably in a large financial services institution.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business or related field Required

Work Experience

  • 4 - 7 yrs Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline and broad management of project management. Requires a minimum of 7 years prior experience in security and access control administration within banking/finance, preferably in a large financial services institution.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Other: CCure 9000 Program Administrator Certification 120 Days

Skills

  • Knowledge of security access control systems, alarm and monitoring systems, and closed-circuit television systems, including Digital Video Recorders Perform math and analysis.

  • Analyze reports to identify possible security threats or access violations

  • Analyze productivity reports to monitor staff and improve daily operations

  • Experience in Physical Security standards and Bank Protection Act requirements.

  • Knowledge of technology applications, including the use of various computer hardware and software systems

  • Maintain critical auditable information of all actions associated with access control administrations, clearance approvals/controls and card distribution

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to be able to provide comprehensive written updates and reports.

  • Analytical skills for complex problem solving and the ability to conduct detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation associated with access control systems, maintenance and card activity.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects that are on set deadlines

  • Interpersonal skills to be able to work with various business lines and vendors.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, PowerPoint required.

Working Location Statement
