Job Description Summary

The Mortgage and Home Equity Pricing specialist is responsible for a wide variety of duties within the Pricing team. In addition to managing the relationship pricing process, this role will be responsible tracking and generation of reporting and documentation of pricing exceptions. This role will assist with functions of the Pricing Desk, including providing exceptional service to our business partners. May maintain and administer product rate sheet.

Depending on applicant’s skills, experience, and interests, this role can evolve to include advanced analytics, ownership of reporting functions, or development of pricing programs and procedures in addition to daily price desk coverage.

Essential Job Functions

• Manages relationship pricing process and validation.

• Assists with the Pricing Desk, ensuring compliance with Pricing Policy and Procedures. Makes pricing decisions on individual loans with complex circumstances

• Produces and maintains monthly pricing exception tracking and reporting.

• Builds and maintains code and other analytical tools

• Develop and grow strong relationships with business partners

• Assists in development of daily/weekly/monthly market position reports

• Other mortgage pricing related duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 3 years in the mortgage, banking, or financial services industries

• Experience with Mortgage / Home Equity Sales or Pricing preferred

• At least 2 years of programming/coding experience (SAS,SQL, PYTHON, VBA, etc.) preferred

• Advanced Excel skills

• Understanding of statistics and/or modeling preferred

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Business Administration or Equivalent Work Experience

• Master’s degree preferred

Work Experience

• 3 years in the mortgage, banking, or financial services industries

Skills

• Superior customer service

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint

• Intermediate programing/coding experience (SAS, SQL, PYTHON, VBA, etc)

• Basic knowledge of mortgage and/or consumer real estate loan, sales, underwriting, documentation, and legal/regulatory requirements

• Ability to manage multiple tasks

• Ability to interact with sales and audit partners, consistently providing superior customer service and support

• Analytical and statistical skills desired but not required
