Job Description Summary
Responsible for a variety of moderate to complex physical security projects and system installations for assigned areas. Acts as the security liaison with various business lines to include Corporate Real Estate, Retail Banking Group and Corporate Security.
Essential Job Functions
Participates in physical security project activities including all meetings, reviews and surveys until project completion.
Acts as liaison with branch staff and other business line staff to ensure compliance with the Bank Protection Act (BPA). Provides assistance to all locations within the assigned area on physical security issues, alarm problems and closed-circuit TV concerns, and to Corporate Security with the review of CCTV video and images for investigation purposes.
May administer the card access system, including performing monthly or quarterly audits to ensure compliance with set standards and procedures.
May assist facilities management with training Floor Wardens in emergency procedures and during the annual earthquake and fire evacuation drills.
Coordinates with vendors and facilities management on service requests and new installations at all locations within assigned area of responsibility.
Assists the Physical Security Manager with all moderate to complex security matters as assigned.

Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requires 5 years minimum prior experience in security in banking/finance, preferably in a large financial services institution.

Knowledge of security access control systems, alarm and monitoring systems, and closed-circuit television systems, including Digital Video Recorders Perform math and analysis.
Knowledge of alarm monitoring, video monitoring and card access control computer applications, specifically MAS, C-Cure 9000 and Verint’s Vid-Center and the hardware and software associated with these systems.
Experience in Physical Security standards and Bank Protection Act requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with law enforcement and other agencies during emergency situations.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to be able to provide comprehensive written updates and reports.
Analytical skills for problem solving.
Ability to manage multiple projects that are on set deadlines.
Interpersonal skills to be able to work with various business lines and vendors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, PowerPoint preferred.
