Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing expertise in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing business processes within the company and develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvement solution recommendations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partners with subject matter experts within the line of business; counsels on which items to be addressed and prioritized

  • Partners with Bank senior leadership and subject matter experts to identify priority opportunities and provide recommendations to capture value

  • Performs overall assessment of current business processes, policies and procedures, people performing the work and management information systems and any other complex technology used in the business to conduct work to identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and/or gaps for resolution and improvement

  • Provides expertise in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing business processes and technologies within the company

  • Drives business team members to define business needs through utilization of effective data gathering techniques.

  • Evaluates data gathered from multiple sources, reconciles differences, and ensures consistent data interpretation are met and result measurements are implemented.

  • Identifies issues, form hypotheses and define and execute the necessary data gathering, research and analysis for a project/work stream

  • Develops fact-based insights and findings to shape and support our recommendations of sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvement solutions

  • Performs best practice research and industry benchmarking analysis, as appropriate, to complement our analysis of internal data

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders & team members to refine our recommendations, build momentum for change and support the successful launch, delivery and oversight of its implementation

  • Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Experience

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through higher level education combined with work experience.

  • Typically viewed as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).

  • May have broad knowledge of business analysis.

  • Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.

  • Requires 3 to 5 years of Agile experience .


  • Bachelor's Degree


  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for documenting necessary processes, business requirement proposals, client interaction, and project documentation as required.

  • Strong attention to detail and experience in representing complex issues based on comprehensive analysis in an understandable manner.

  • Must have strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment.

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Previous Agile Experience.

  • Technology focused and savvy.

  • Highly collaborative with strong communication skills.

  • Ability to lead, influence & work independently.

  • Strong attention to detail & deadline driven.

  • Client focused, with ability to listen carefully, understand client’s problems and provide advice and potential resolutions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Visio; bonus points for Tableau or other data visualization tool skills, and/or SQL and database analytics experience

  • Broad knowledge and experience in delivering operational and strategy projects, including process improvements, customer experience enhancements, end-to-end redesign, organizational restructuring, etc.
