Job Description Summary

The PFD Research Coordinator (Collections) is responsible for analyzing credit bureau dispute data and formulating accurate and timely responses to consumers and credit reporting agencies on disputes received.

The person in this position will be responsible for researching, resolving, and responding to accountholder claims of errors and/or inaccurate reporting of credit information, while maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy. Makes independent decisions for appropriate action to be taken within regulatory and procedural guidelines. Maintains accurate and properly-documented dispute evidence files, while ensuring FCRA and COE Policy required time frames are met. May train and mentor newer associates. Will serve as an in-house subject matter expert in credit card, consumer, mortgage, and lease reporting rules and regulations in relation to compliance and dispute resolution.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required Skills

  • Ability to independently identify and resolve complex problems

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to build and strengthen partnerships with other areas

  • Flexible problem-solver, open minded to receiving input from others

  • High attention to detail in reviewing data and writing reports

  • Strong communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills
