Job Description Summary

Responsible for implementing information security and data loss prevention solutions. Supports the business, security, and technical staff by assisting with the deployment of security controls and processes. Maintains and supports security tools. Escalates security incidents in order for appropriate action to be taken. Delivers timely and high quality work products to meet client's expectations. Defines, analyzes, evaluates, and facilitates the implementation of security solutions to meet business needs. Reviews, monitors, recommends and reports enhancement opportunities to meet bank and industry policies, standards, and guidance. Mentors Junior Engineers and assists them in developing greater knowledge in the toolsets.

Essential Job Functions

  • We are looking for an experienced Splunk developer to build reports and dashboards for different internal groups.

  • This role will have end-to-end responsibility for designing and implementing modern, dynamic solutions for our various internal customers.

  • Design efficient and reusable reports and dashboards to integrate multiple business and mission applications health, performance and operational data systems into Splunk.

  • Supports customer efforts by collecting requirements, then proceed to design and implementation phases.

  • Enhance and execute the enterprise Splunk ingestion processes including capacity planning, infrastructure and functional impact analysis.

  • Provide Splunk operational troubleshooting support and assist with complex problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

  • Identifying bad searches/dashboards and help to improve performance. Troubleshooting Splunk performance issues.

  • Monitor the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Have at least 5 years of experience with a Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Splunk version 7.x or higher Developer Certification is ideal.

  • Have 3 years of demonstrated experience using Splunk.

  • 2 years of experience building front end applications, UI components or UI frameworks.

  • High proficiency in HTML and CSS and the ability to create aesthetically pleasing dashboards.

  • Possess infrastructure and application support experience.

  • Have technical knowledge of the latest Microsoft and Red Hat operating systems.

Skills

  • Provide senior level support on tools and process oversight for operational Security tools.

  • Strong problem solving/analytical skills, as well as written and verbal communication.

  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, information security tool deployment and operations.

  • Ability to lead cybersecurity implementation projects to completion with little guidance.

  • Ability to assist in the evaluation of security solutions to meet business needs for potential and existing products.

  • Provide recommendations for enhancement opportunities to meet Bank and industry best practices.

  • Mentors Junior Engineers and assists them in developing greater knowledge in the toolsets.
