Job Description Summary
Responsible for implementing information security and data loss prevention solutions. Supports the business, security, and technical staff by assisting with the evaluation and deployment of security controls and processes. Maintains and supports security tools. Escalates security incidents in order for appropriate action to be taken. Delivers timely and high quality work products to meet client's expectations. Reviews, monitors, recommends and reports enhancement opportunities to meet bank and industry policies, standards, and guidance.
Essential Job Functions
End-to-end responsibility for designing and implementing modern, dynamic solutions for our various internal customers.
Supports customer efforts by collecting requirements, then proceed to design and implementation phases.
Ensures systems specifications, security controls and appropriate logging and monitoring align with business needs.
Communicates and coordinates with technology and business functional groups to specify hardware, software and network connectivity for production and test environments.
Provides senior level support on tools and processes.
Reviews, drafts, and outlines processes related to tools under their management.
Leads cybersecurity implementation projects to completion.
Assists the business, Security Architecture and technical subject matter experts to deploy security controls and processes and evaluates security solutions.
Recommends and implements enhancement opportunities to meet bank and industry policies, standards, and guidance.
Mentors Junior Engineers and assists them in developing greater knowledge in the toolset.
Conducts ROI and gap analysis for potential and existing products.
7 years minimum prior relevant experience
Infrastructure and application support experience with broad understanding of all security domains.
Technical knowledge of the latest Microsoft and Red Hat operating systems.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture, information security tool deployment and operations.
Experience in a US regulated industry highly desirable; financial services preferred.
Experience in deployment and configuration of Data Loss Prevention systems at a large scale within an enterprise.
Specific tools with preferred experience includes:
Carbon Black or Beyond Trust and implementation of Application Control;
Symantec CloudSOC or McAfee cloud access security broker (CASB) and leading an implementation of Gatelets and Securlets;
Any of Tanium’s solutions (Threat Response, Patch, Deploy etc.)
Strong problem solving/analytical skills, and written and verbal communication.
Knowledge of Information Security tool deployment and operations, and vulnerability management, application and system configuration hardening.
Splunk development experience (preferred) to build reports and dashboards for diverse internal groups.
Education : Bachelor’s degree
