Summary of the Role
Designs, manages and implements new program initiatives to mature the Third Party Risk Management program at the Combined US Operations International Holding Company (CUSO IHC) including Bank of the West and CIB. Responsible for driving change with sometimes disparate stakeholders at all levels of the organization from Executive Sponsorship to Subject Matter Experts to deliver key systems and solutions. Accountable for transforming the current third party risk management platform to support program enhancement.
Essential Job Functions
Design Solutions to integrate the third party risk management framework into the RCSA framework
Ensure implementation of a consistent third party program across the IHC to include inherent risk, control framework assessments, due diligence questionnaires, residual risk, risk acceptances, and approvals
Steer alignment of the third party program across the IHC and with the bank’s parent company, BNPP
Guide and facilitate alignment of the Regulatory Compliance risk at the IHC
Be responsible to own and drive the development and implementation of Third Party Key Risk Indicators across the IHC
Oversee the development of a single solution in Process Unity for both CIB and BOW to ensure 100% program alignment across entities
Manage System and UAT Testing of Process Unity at both entities
Develop and deploy training in the new framework and system for both entities
Be responsible for oversight, check and challenge of BOW 1LOD TPRM team’s inventory in the Group 360 arrangements module including all 88 data fields per arrangement
Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
Strong executive presence to steer leadership in strategic decision making
Ability to work independently under tight time constraints and lead teams across both institutions to deliver key systems and solutions to enhance the Third Party framework
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple high priority projects
Must be able to quickly grasp complex strategies
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate understanding of the initiatives to various levels of the organization
In-depth knowledge and experience in Compliance, Operational Risk Management or Third Party Risk Management in a Financial Institution
Mastery of the Microsoft Suite of products including Project, Power Point, Visio and Excel
Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred
