Job Description Summary

As a

Data Analyst focused on user engagement, you’ll support user advocacy through user

trainings, hosting office hours with varied level of users, gather business

requirements and perform data analysis to answer questions on Retail KPIs and help

build tools that drive key business processes for Retail Banking including but

not limited to Sales Management, Operational Excellence and Digital Engagement

as well as Customer Analytics.

In this role you

will collaborate with upper management teams and business users ranging from

branch level employees to executives to identify reporting needs, to develop

report contents coordinating with subject matter experts, create functional

business requirements documentation, manages the review cycles, and supports

Senior Reporting Analysts to ensure timely submission of the technical specs

for Business Requirements and data mapping.

Essential Job Functions

As the person that

everyone goes to when they have a data or reporting need, the analyst needs to


  • Create, distribute, and manage various SeniorManagement and Board level reports with mulitple or various function focus.Executes procedures to ensure all reports and supporting documents arecompleted accurately and within required timeframes.

  • Ability to facilitate, coordinate and elicit reportingrequirements from multiple stakeholders.Perform source system data mining and analysis in support of Businessrequirements analysis and documentation, user acceptance testing in support ofnew code implementation,changes/enhancement.

  • Partners with subject matter experts to extract,filter, and aggregate data using logical queries and basic programming.Constructs data metrics, statistics, and analyses. Provide trend analysisthrough the data analysis. Conducts the layout of information/data, includinguse of infographics. Formats reports and presentation materials intoestablished templates and style guides.

  • Quickly comprehends a full understanding of our dataecosystem from source/process/data store to data modeling to tools thatinteract with data (SQL/BI tools) to accurate consolidation of data. Understandstructured vs. non-structured data. Translates the comprehension to visuallystory telling with facts in an effort to bring about change.

  • Maintains data files, archives, and documents libraryas well as manages the version control, updates, and approvals of key documents(e.g., policies, procedures, and audit plans).

  • Always seek to support new initiatives or otherautomation efforts. Participates in scrums and help maintain project workflowthrough Jira.

  • Partners withmanagers to help stakeholders get facts for decision making.

  • Lead usertraining and demos of the automation efforts, user documentation and userinteraction.

OtherJob Duties

Required Experience

  • Business Requirements Functional documentation.

  • SQL to build database structure and/or to pull data foranalysis and storytelling.

  • Various flavors of RDBMS - Oracle, Teradata, SQLServer.

  • Experience with Data Warehouse concepts andmethodologies

  • BI & Analytics tools – Conceptual knowledge ofcurrent industry trends in Business Intelligence and report development usingOBIEE Analysis/BI publisher or Tableau, SAS, Qlikview, Thoughtspot etc.

  • May have practical knowledge of project management.

  • Requires 3-5 years minimum or prior relevant experience in Data Analytics.


  • Bachelor’sDegree in Decision Sciences, IS, IT, Engineering, Computer Science or any othersimilar field plus experience.


  • Working knowledge of Big Data concept and currentindustry standards in data mining, visualization and predictive analytics

  • Hands-on knowledge of Hadoop/R and others

  • Experience working in a business group (Strategy, Finance,Operations, Marketing) as a data/technical expert.
