Job Description Summary
We are undergoing a transformation and shift towards using cloud. We are looking for a Lead Solutions Architect who can assist us in migrating existing monolithic applications into cloud native solutions. This role reports to Head of Enterprise Application and Data Services. You will provide leadership and best practices in Application and Data domains. You will be a key contributor on architectural decisions related to projects and ensure its alignment with IT strategy. Additionally, this role will ensure that critical applications are designed and optimized for performance, high availability and disaster recovery. You will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solution Delivery leaders and Support organization.
Advises and leads software architecture services typically in a defined moderate to complex project(s) by coordinating with Enterprise Architecture.
Provides working prototypes to confirm the feasibility of technical solutions
Reviews and develops improvements to system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions.
Ensures that defined architecture is successfully implemented
Establishes improvements to increase efficiency
Develops and governs software policies, standards and procedures
Revises and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and Technology strategy
Reviews and advises IT standards and procedures.
Requires 12 years relevant experience
Viewed as the leading expert and/or resource within the field by peers.
Excellent communication skills both verbal, written and presentation
Previous hands on development experience and an understanding of modern architectural concepts & tools.
Experience with creating innovative solutions that support both business and technology modernization objectives
Experience developing business cases and quantifying ROI
Experience applying Agile methodologies and tools to manage and deliver technology projects/solutions.
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
Technology background includes:
Previous hands on development experience
Systems and Application development, including design, development, deployment and support.
Integration technology and architecture patterns such as SOA, API, & Microservices
Cloud Technologies and Delivery Models preferably IBM Cloud Private & Azure.
Big Data and Big Data adoption patterns
Architecture Governance, Guidelines and Patterns.
Conceptual database architecture solution, estimation and planning.
Database appliances – Exadata or Azure Stack.
Database backup and recovery, sizing, security, replication and optimization.
Extensive knowledge of business systems, and ability to analyze, develop and implement complex programming solutions.
Strong management experience in various IT roles.
