Senior Lead Risk Analyst- Treasury ALM

The Treasury ALM department has an immediate opening available for

a Sr Lead Risk Analyst. Treasury ALM reports to the Bank's Asset

Liability Committee (ALCO), which determines the desired interest rate and

liquidity risk position of the Bank and establishing the guidelines to achieve

that position in given market environment.

This position is part of

the ALM Analytics team, responsible for providing analytical support for the

Bank’s asset and liability management functions, such as net interest income

(NII), economic value of equity (EVE), balance sheet gaps, and stress testing

analyses. The successful candidate will

be working closely with our partners to develop new processes and automation

solutions through the QRM software.

In

this role you will:

1.

Partner with finance, accounting, and

business units to forecast net interest income for the annual budget and

quarterly forecast for the Bank

2.

Work with the Treasury strategy team

to complete the forecast of the Treasury balance sheet position and P&L

3.

Validate data input, assumptions and

results of forecasts to ensure modeling outputs and analytics are reasonable.

4.

Perform analyses and reconciliations

of forecasts to other benchmarks including prior forecasts, CCAR results, and

actuals

5.

Works with LOB partners and modelers

on fine-tuning assumptions used in the forecast model

6.

Assist with other forecasting

production processes including Liquidity Forecasting and the Bank’s Capital

Planning Process (CCAR and DFAST)

7.

Analyze financial data, summarize,

and provide a concise and meaningful narrative discussion of discrepancies

8.

Develop tools to automate and

streamline processes utilizing strong controls and consistent design to improve

granularity, accuracy, and timeliness of analytics.

9.

Optimize the QRM software to

maximize performance and ensure adequate controls are enforced.

10.

Leverage knowledge in extracting

and analyzing data through various systems including Oracle Hyperion Suite

(HFM, Essbase, and Planning), SQL, etc.

11.

Compile consolidated data and

reports for ALCO, Treasury, Reporting, FP&A, Capital Management, IHC, and

BNPP teams.

12.

Works on Ad-hoc requests from

management

Qualifications

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or

Finance required

  • Master’s/Advanced Degree in

Business or Finance preferred

  • Experience with QRM or Bancware

ALM systems preferred

  • Experience with reconciling and

analyzing large data sets via SQL preferred

  • 10 years of directly related

experience in financial institution

  • Expertise with reconciling and

analyzing large data sets

  • Advanced spreadsheet skills,

including pivot tools and chart design

  • Knowledge of economics, financial

accounting & analysis, and banking

  • Quantitative knowledge and

statistics

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

desirable

  • Excellent communication skills,

including an ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts

  • Highly motivated, responsible,

organized, and curious individual with uncompromising ethics and integrity
