Job Description Summary
The ALM Treasury Analyst participates in the analysis, monitoring, and management of the Bank’s Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book, and Funds Transfer Pricing framework. The role may have a specialized focus on one of those three areas, but knowledge of the other two areas is generally also preferred. The role is central to delivering the ALM Treasury mandates of safe and sound risk management and Bank PnL optimization through effective balance sheet management.
The focus of this role is market execution and management of securities, funding and derivatives in support of ALM Treasury’s mandates.
Essential Job Functions
Participate in the development and implementation of the strategies designed to manage and optimize BOTW’s Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk positions, and/or its Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework, focusing on one or more key aspects: methodologies, reporting, execution, and communication with business partners. Execution will be main focus of this role.
Contribute to ensuring these strategies are correctly reflected into ALM Treasury’s metrics.
Help assess impacts of market conditions and interest rate changes on Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and/or FTP.
Participate in the implementation of process improvements, projects, adequate governance, controls and oversight.
Help update and enhance documentation related to Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and/or FTP, including methodologies, model documentation, procedures, policies, framework documents, committee charters.
Contribute to specific strategic initiatives and projects that support the bank’s long-term strategy through the lens of Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and/or FTP topics.
Support management in the monitoring of the bank’s lines of business (LOB) through the lens of Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and/or FTP topics, for example product pricing discussions and optimization of the value of LOB loans/deposits.
Other Job Duties
Execute funding, securities and/or derivatives trades in the capital markets to support ALM Treasury’s mandates.
Help monitor and manage existing funding, securities and derivatives positions to support ALM Treasury’s Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.
Prefers a minimum of 2-3 years working experience related to ALM Treasury activities or substantially similar financial capital markets or finance experience, with an understanding of one or more of: bank balance sheet dynamics, financial markets, interest rate or liquidity risk management, product pricing or FTP. Understanding of financial markets preferred for this role.
Experience in at least one of these areas: fixed income, capital markets, financial engineering, financial modeling, planning and forecasting, project management, risk reporting and analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Financial Engineering (or other quantitative discipline such as Mathematics or Engineering combined with commensurate experience.)
Able to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical skills, at ease with large datasets.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
