This position leads a cross-functional technology team responsible for end-to-end development, implementation, support, and enhancements of a portfolio of commercial banking applications. This position implements technology solutions through thought-leadership, and provides direction and collaborates across disciplines.


We are looking for a top-notch and energetic individual to lead a group of highly skilled developers, implementing innovative solutions, and keeping current with constantly evolving technology landscape.

  1. Lead a cross-functional technology team responsible for end-to-end development, implementation, and support of a portfolio of applications

  2. Provide leadership, guidance, and development across the team, supporting a culture of ownership, accountability, and customer service

  3. Partner with product owners and help define and execute multi-year product roadmaps

  4. Partner with product owners to translate complex business needs into technical solutions, and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders, taking into consideration broader systems impact

  5. Ensure recommended solutions support IT Strategy and align to key business drivers

  6. Plan and manage deployment of in-house solutions as well as the transition and integration of cloud and / or hybrid solutions as part of the Applications Strategy

  7. Build and enhance business systems from user interface through back-end services, test, and deploy

  8. Provide design leadership and participate in software architecture review governance processes

  9. Research and recommend new and innovative technologies and tools

  10. Drive and build required technical standards, guidelines and process across multiple teams

  11. Ensure application development team(s) comply with SDLC and CI/CD processes to ensure a highly predictable, high quality deliverables to maximize value and minimize disruption

  12. Ensure compliance with quality and change management processes



  • 10 years of progressive IT experience developing solutions on multiple technology platforms

  • 5 years of application development team management experience with demonstrated ability to manage matrixed and cross-organizational teams

  • Experience planning and deploying business or IT initiatives

  • Experience in building customer facing, web-based transactional systems

  • Experience in product development for banking applications (loan origination and servicing systems)

  • Experience in Agile based development and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD)

  • Deep technical knowledge in systems, application frameworks, database optimization

  • Deep knowledge of modern application development processes including Agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

  • Deep knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and CI/CID processes

  • Proven technical aptitude in one or more application programming domains

  • Ability to use configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment-specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application

  • Knowledgeable in multiple technology disciplines including networking and application security

  • Exceptional communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization

  • Leadership qualities, including ability to facilitate technical discussions with diverse and cross-functional groups, and good negotiation skills including the ability to influence others

  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, with strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities

  • Ability to think on your feet, present multiple solution options, and drive defect free products
