Job Description Summary

Responsible for coordinating, developing, and managing reports for the IT KPI Initiative. Work effectively and independently to manage workflow activities and deadlines. Gather, organize, analyze and maintain data and documentation to support analyses and reporting. Collaborate with management and business partners to identify requirements and objectives of requested analyses and reports, in order to exceed expectations. Leverage current analytical and reporting tools to streamline reporting and improve the end user experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Build, distribute, and manage various reports for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute procedures to ensure all reports and supporting documents meet the stakeholder’s needs and are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

  • Plan and maintain the backlog for reporting and analysis requests. Work directly with subject matter experts to produce, contribute, review, or approve results.

  • Facilitate, coordinate and elicit reporting requirements from multiple stakeholders to develop new reports. Identify, analyze and master new data sources. Extract, filter, and aggregate data using queries (e.g. SQL).

  • Determine the most useful layout of information and data, including use of visual graphics.

  • Build reports in current platforms, such as Power BI and SSRS.

  • Perform ongoing maintenance and enhancements to reports. Perform ad hoc analyses to provide information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Mid-level experience with report development using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE, SSRS

  • Mid-level data analysis skills using SQL and an understanding of databases/data relationships

  • Strong understanding of automation tools to drive efficiency in report development and delivery

  • Strong management and control of work flows to produce deliverables within required timeframes and quality standards.

  • Analytical thinking – ability to ask probing questions and find data connections

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with business partners to understand requirements and provide data insights

  • Business acumen – ability to translate business requirements into a user-friendly report

  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills to facilitate effective working relationships.

  • Understanding of financial industry and/or financial products and data.

  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve

  • Strong eye for design and understanding of layout flows and visual data representations.

  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing environment, priorities and deliverables.

  • Ability to condense information and transform technical data into easily understandable concepts.

  • Ability to plan analysis and reporting projects, communicate effectively to stakeholders and monitor progress toward objectives

  • Ability to assess, develop and maintain proper controls, documentation, and change management for report development

  • Perform audits of source system data to identify and communicate issues with appropriate data owners.

  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience
