Job Description

Site Reliability Engineer will work routinely with leaders and stakeholders across technology and business operations, operational risk and business continuity teams to improve disaster recovery capabilities & quality, business impact, risk/threat data, and other related recovery opportunities. Prepare production applications for seamless failovers to disaster recovery with live business operations with the ability to revert traffic to production. Work with development teams, application support teams and third-party providers to develop, document and execute failover exercises.

  • Perform and lead Disaster recovery failover exercise (Live-Play) and Cyber-Attack

  • Responsible for Vulnerability Management and penetration testing remediation processes

  • Implement/deploy/support software upgrade to DEV, UAT, production and DR environments

  • Analyze platform requirements and coordinate with vendors and other IT groups in building/maintaining hardware, 3rd party software, patches and network related components with the compliance to the IT standards and procedures

  • Evaluate and perform POC on software products and tools for technical support service

  • Evaluate current processes and procedures and implement appropriate improvements where needed.

  • Troubleshoot application performance issues and document resolution processes

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 7 years of design/implementation/support experience with distributed applications

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery architecture and process

  • Vulnerability management and penetration testing

  • Knowledge of distributed applications and technologies

  • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix operating systems including Windows IIS admin/or Apache Tomcat

  • Experience with scripting and automation using Ansible, PowerShell/Python

  • Experience in enterprise monitoring tools

  • Knowledge of databases (Oracle/SQL Server)

  • Strong technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement and strong operational focus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of PKI certificate management.

  • Proficiency in Cloud Architecture, such as IBM, Azure and AWS is a plus

  • Experience of Agile methodology / DevOps

  • Security knowledge
